Equal Justice Under The Law
When two parties enter a courtroom, the outcome should never be predetermined. I do not seek endorsements nor have political connections as I intend to remain neutral and unbiased. I will not bend to political influence nor do I owe any favors.
Fair justice starts with reviewing the pleadings that have been filed before a hearing. A Judge must be prepared and knowledgeable about the law that is likely to be relevant to a case. I will uphold the Texas and United States Constitutions to protect individual liberties and enforce the rule of law.
A judge should establish a neutral playing field and not allow personal bias to favor or disfavor a particular regulation. The oath of office requires that a judge sets aside their personal opinions about political, social, and legal issues, and strictly follow the law. The rule of law must prevail over a judge's personal views.
A judge is supposed to follow the law as it is written and was intended by the lawmakers. A good judge respects the separation of powers. A good judge is well versed in the law and has a desire to increase his own legal education. Laws constantly change and a judge is expected to know the law.
If elected, I will be reachable 24/7 for when a need arises, available, hard-working, fair, honest, and unintimidated. I will be a good steward with financial resources entrusted to my care as a Judge and conduct court activities within budget.
I stand for the Pledge of Allegiance, the Star Spangled Banner, and all that is Red, White and Blue. I believe in respect for authority, to love your country, honor the flag, and help your neighbor. I support our veterans and military service members serving the U.S.A.

Court rules and laws govern procedures for the conduct of business in the courts. While some rules may apply generally to all types of courts, a judge must know the specific rules and laws that will apply to a particular case that comes before the court.
Having served in Law Enforcement, Todd understands the difficult and dangerous tasks that our law enforcement officers perform trying to protect and serve our community. Todd believes in adequately funding our local law enforcement to provide the tools and training that are necessary to have a professional and well-equipped law enforcement presence in our community.
